Cincinnati police are on the scene of a barricade situation in Oakley Friday evening. Police said the incident started just after 4 p.m. with a 911 hang up call that came from an apartment building. Police said it was the sixth 911 call from that address today. According to dispatchers, as officers arrived at the building in the 3900 block of Millsbrae Avenue, an identified suspect began firing shots. CPD Lt. Cunningham confirmed to WLWT no officers were struck by gunfire. SWAT members arrived on scene to assist police in securing the area. Neighbors spoke to WLWT about hearing a number of shots before SWAT escorted them out of the building. Police shut down traffic on Millsbrae and Markbreit Avenues as well as Edwards Road due to an active scene. Drivers are cautioned to avoid the area. Police confirmed that a suspect was taken into custody just before 8 p.m. without incident. No injuries were reported.
