An Arizona man saved two young girls from the back of a burning vehicle on a remote highway in Navajo County. The engine in the car ahead of them caught fire, and the parents of the toddlers became unable to rescue them from the back seat as the car locked. Sam Heiler broke the car’s front windows with a rock, unbuckled the girls, and helped their parents save them before the car exploded. Reservation police arrived later, and the incident caused spot fires in the area.
