Old Navy, owned by Gap Inc., is set to close its Market Street location in San Francisco after 30 years due to its lease expiring. The company is looking for another location in downtown San Francisco to replace the empty storefront, but this comes as crime and theft have risen in the city, causing other retailers such as Nordstrom and Saks Off 5th to close down as well. At least 20 stores in the Union Square area have closed since 2020.
